Most Popular Linux Distributions in 2021 (Part 2)
This is the second part of the post about the Most popular Linux distributions in 2021 | Most Popular Linux Distributions in 2021 (Part 1)
Some of them have been popular for long time, but others are a really surprising alternatives:
- Elementary OS
- Solus
- Zorin OS
- Fedora
- Linux Deepin
I used to have a laptop with Lubuntu (a lightweight Linux distribution based on Ubuntu that uses the LXQt desktop environment) installed on it. Nowadays, I also have a Lubuntu virtual machine on Oracle VM VirtualBox.
However, when I have worked with servers, I’ve had to deal with Debian or CentOS, also Red Hat in on-premise enterprise architectures.
If you are a software developer you should know to manage any kind of Linux distribution. You can install any distribution you like, just use them as virtual machine, or with Docker.
